SAI Introduces New Technologies and 'Virtual Scrap Yard' at ISRI 2004

April 25, 2004 - SAI will introduce a number of new capabilities of its industry-leading Commercial Recycling Enterprise System(CRES) to attendees at the ISRI Convention in Las Vegas at Booths 222-228.

Working closely with Synergistics Systems and TransAct Payment Systems in the adjoining booths, SAI is exhibiting a 'Virtual Scrap Yard' with its premiere software, integrated mobile wireless and GPS communications; and ATM and video integration.

In addition, SAI will demonstrate its new Platform Scale Touch Screen Interface, Bar Coding, and enhanced graphical Cash Receipts application, along with its NEW Mill Buy Plan Management System and exclusive XSight business analysis applications.

SAI Staff Spreads Holiday Cheer

December 25, 2003 - SAI employees teamed with Toledo charities over the Holidays to spread Holiday Cheer by donating gifts, money, food, and useable household items to two local families. Several 'SAI elves' were captured preparing to load some of the 'goodies' in this exclusive photo.

Sims Group Australia brings more SAI sites on-line

December 1, 2003 - Sims Group has added two additional sites to its ever-increasing number of SAI installations in Australia. Both Canberra and Gosford New South Wales (NSW) use SAI's Commercial Recycling Enterprise System(CRES) to manage their business transactions and to provide executive reporting.

Sims Group’s core business is metal recycling, with an emerging business in recycling solutions. Headquartered in Australia, Sims international operations in the United Kingdom, North America, New Zealand, and Asia together have over 2100 employees.

Allan Company expands SAI sites

December 1, 2003 - Allan Company, a long time SAI client and one of the largest paper processors and exporters on the West Coast, is adding its Fresno and South San Diego recycling centers to over 10 current locations using SAI's Commercial Recycling Enterprise System(CRES).

Allan Company has operated in California for past 34 years and is the largest independently owned paper and mixed recyclable collection, processing, and marketing company in the western United States.

SAI SUCCESSFULLY CONVERTS 75% OF CUSTOMERS TO VERSION 4.0

November 7, 2003 - Systems Alternatives International, LLC (SAI), announced that they have successfully converted over 75% of their installed client base to the new V.4 release of its' recycling system software products. Chief Financial Officer, Brian Gribble described customer acceptance as "overwhelming". "Our most aggressive rollout plans called for 100% client conversion by the end of 2004. With current order backlog, 90% of our customers will be converted by the end of 2003 with the remaining customers converted to V.4 in the first quarter of 2004, fully nine months ahead of our most optimistic scenario". Gribble continued, "In addition to the increased functionality and capabilities of V.4, our customers also have been especially pleased that the conversion process caused no disruption to their business and required minimal user re-training".

V.4 offers a graphical Windows® user interface, support for Microsoft® operating systems as well as support for relational databases which will improve reporting capabilities. V.4 became available November of 2002.

SAI Welcomes Pyramid Trading LLC

September 30, 2003 - Systems Alternatives International, LLC (SAI), welcomes Pyramid Trading LLC, of Maumee, Ohio to our growing customer base. Pyramid will be utilizing most all of the SAI CRES brokerage capabilities along with the SAI X-Sight business analysis tools. SAI will be providing these systems as an Application Service Provider (ASP), allowing Pyramid staff and their supplier's access to their information over the Internet. We wish everyone at Pyramid the best of luck and look forward to serving them in their new venture.

SAI Welcomes H. Bixon & Sons

November 7, 2003 - Systems Alternatives International, LLC (SAI), welcomes the staff of the former H. Bixon & Sons ("Bixon") located in New Haven, Connecticut as the newest user of Systems Alternatives International, LLC's Commercial Enterprise Recycling System. The assets of Bixon were recently acquired by Metal Management, Inc. and will be immediately integrated into the existing operations of Metal Management Connecticut, Inc. Metal Management Inc. is one of the largest full service metals recyclers in the United States, with approximately 40 recycling facilities in 13 states.

October 29 2003, Systems Alternatives International, LLC (SAI) would like to welcome Baker Iron & Metal to our list of clients. Baker Iron & Metal in Lexington Kentucky is implementing a full suite of SAI's Commercial Recycling Information System software and X-Sight analytical tools. Baker Iron & Metal, in business since 1921, is one of central Kentucky's largest scrap metal processors.
